| Engine going back in tommorow! Hurrah! Done a few little jobs on it recently, spraying wing mirror etc. Check my cooler scoop out, bloody over engineered, but the external oil cooler fits in it as snug as a bug! When the engines in, just got to plumb the oil system in, change the front indicators, then its mot time! | |

| Haven't really driven the car much since the mot, been a bit pissed off with the way that it's been running, Wife bought me the dellorto book for my b'day, so i've been able to sort out the jet sizes etc, lets just say that they were miles out. i decided to strip the carbs down, and rebuild them with the right bits Not only that, They were also full of crap! New venturis came in the post this morning from VZI, just waiting for the jets! | |

| Match porting the inlet manifolds... 1 Mark out the pattern of the port.. 2 Then when thats done, hold it next to the inlet manifold, realise that they are only a knats nudger out, and give up! got the carbs back on, set up right and turned it over, lovely sounding motor now, apart from the noise from the exhuast, turns out... Bloody bugpack exhaust! half hour later.... All welded up! Removable valance makes things easy! Only got to set the mixtures on the carbs now with the CO meter, change the batteries and the rev counter, and cttp here we go! | |

| Ummm, That wasn't my fault, problem with the carbs, i had to give it some beans to keep the revs up to stop it stalling because of the wrong idles, also, i wasn't quite sure where the clutch biting point was! kept it under 3500rpm though! Must do something about the drivers door though, new rubber needs a bit of breaking in! | |

| All alive .... Again! Sorted problem with poop engine at last, duff one way valve in float chamber of one of the carbs, was disabling the pump jets, hence starving two of the cylinders when you accelerate. £10.24 from eurocarb! Also got rid of the gay as fuck breather on the top of the filler cap and plumbed a nice bit of pretty pipe to the offside air filter, should stop oil over the engine bay now! Mmmmmmm 90's cal style, sexy! | |

| Scares me now! Took it out on saturday night, up to the star in cleve with the baby in the front seat, and mrs big al and the little fella in the back! not fun, still had oil on the exhaust, and was gassing out the missus in the back, charlie thought the car was going to catch fire Was ok when we got on the 370 though, had a chance to burn it off, ran lovely there and on the way back. Took it out again today to fill it up with petrol, Jesus, it's quick! Even though I'm being gentle with it and running it in, you just gently press the throttle, and you can feel it wants to go, real fight against temptation not to cane it when i'm driving it, the good thing is, it'll pootle along happily at 60 doing 2 1/2 thousand revs, but i know i can spin it up to 61/2 thousand if i need too, I really need to take in on the strip whe it's done, hoping for 15's if i do! | |
