PostSubject: T4 Project   T4 Project EmptySun Oct 18, 2009 5:17 am

This is my T4 van that i am in the process of turning into a nice van i will keep you all up to date with stuff as i do it to the van....

first of all are the pics when i first got the van and the pics dont really show how bad the van was lol! lol!

T4 Project Van2
T4 Project Van4
T4 Project Van3
T4 Project Van1

So the work started with my side exit exhaust which sounds awesome and looks good (well i think so)

T4 Project Van6
T4 Project Van5

After this i started removing all the rust and dents from the van and trust me there are loads

T4 Project Van9

then i decided i wanted to smooth the front panel into the van so out came the welder and of i went

T4 Project Van11
T4 Project Van10
T4 Project Van12
T4 Project Van14
T4 Project Van15
T4 Project Van13

then came the start of the smoothing of the rear doors

T4 Project Van16
T4 Project 20

by this time the top was all ready for its first coat of balck paint

T4 Project 21
T4 Project 23

the next day i got bored of bodywork and decidec to lower the front suspension got about 14mm of thread left now better than 120mm when i first started lol!

T4 Project 31

then i had to try and make my mind up what colour i wanted the bottom so of i wnet the the paint suppliers and came back with this colour and wanted to see what i would be like so i painted half the van

T4 Project 33
T4 Project 34
T4 Project 32
T4 Project 38

i decided i really liked it and the next day painted the whole van

T4 Project 39

then was time to lower the back so off to the scrappy for some rear corsa spring and with a little bit of fettling i ended up with a van lowered 120mm and looks great

T4 Project 44

Then after another trip to the scrappy i came back with the bumper add ons and set about fixing them on

T4 Project 47
T4 Project 48
T4 Project 50
T4 Project 49

then came some checkers

T4 Project 51
T4 Project 53

after all this i have started on the interior the rear seat folds flat and turns into a bed

T4 Project 55
T4 Project 54

still loads more to be done to her will update as it happens

just a little update

van has now got the back all built up and trimmed...
but and this is a big but .... not happy with the colour and the outside so today i started rubbing the van down again and changing things about....

i am after a late spec front bumper if anyone has one and wants to swap it for a early bumper with the one off bumper extension and the rear bumper spats then that would be excellent

pics of van half rubbed down

T4 Project Photo0102

since this picture my side exit exhaust has gone and relocated back to the back of the van as went down the scrapyard and found a really nice raceland letterbox exhaust on a car... also the tow bar has now gone it looks alot cleaner without it on there
