145/65/15 Smart car tyres now fitted up front she drive loads better just got to get the 3+3/4 inch narrowed adjustable beam on and bring the front down a wee bit. Then some smaller tyres on the rear and bring that down as well

The time for the body to be ripped off is getting close very close now..

Should be in bit's in the next month or 2 thinking that it needs to go back to a late looker wings bumper engine lid..

in the back garden again or front on that nice new drive

Can you post up a picture of your wheels on your bug with the smart car tyres on, I fancy them for bob but I want to make sure they fit 5.5" rims.

This is the sort of plan at the moment

Complete strip down.
Get the floor, body edges, suspension and engine tin sand blasted.
1500 or GT box.
Keeping the the same motor but will get a couple of little mods.
All new brakes, steering and suspension.
All new rubbers.
All new interior.
All new chrome.
Mag industry, gas burners or something along those lines.
Narrowed beam.
Paint the floor, suspension, and tin in 2K black..
Paint the body in the OG 2K metalic blue .
Upright 70's wings ect ect.

And what ever repairs need doing. Off the top of my head..

Both heater channel bottom plates. Due to the body being welded to the floor.
Rear section of the drivers heater channel.
Drivers inner front arch.
Pair of doors.
Spare wheel well.
Rear panel.
Not sure about the floor pans but i think they're pretty good.

That little lot should keep me going for a couple days

couple of days you would have it done in a couple hours

Should be finished for next summer fingers crossed

Wow i finally got round to having a look at her today and she's as good as she was when i first bought her in 2004 ... No bad surprises.


Spent ages getting the interior out and remove the OG sound proffing from the floors.

The floor.. Slight bit of surface rust but nothing bad..

Rear inner arches and boot floor edges... Nothing to worry about..







Rear channel corners and lower inner arches... Both inner arches need slight localised repairs...

Channels aren't too bad both need the inner rear repair and the drivers side needs a slight repair in the center. And the passanger A-pillar bottom needs repair..













All in all from the inside she's still looking good and not a great deal of work needed..

No mate gonna 2k black the pan and running gear so it'll shine may even do it metalic yet so it'll sparkle as well
