Managed to coivince me brother to bive me a hand, lifted donor onto trailer ready to go scrapers!



And lifted the body outside so i can crack on with the pan



Pan looks pretty good gonna take beam and box out then strip the paint and crap back to see what she how bad she really is

look at the size of those axle stands, make mine look like buscuits

Got a couple of hours on the old girl this afternoon so cracked on and ripped the beam and the gearbox out of the pan





So flipped the pan on its side and fired up the grinder with wire wheel attachment and cleaned all the underseal off the bottom of the pan





only 3 patches need welding. 2 of which are previous repairs to the jacking points and 1 to the front bulkhead mount

Decided to crack into the welding today, so ground offthe small plate on the front crossmember, to find the whole thing was rotten so cut it out!!





so then fabricated a new section



welded in and ground back

nice work dude .......crack on

Have finished all the welding on the floor pan so clean it up with the wire brush



then slapped a coat of paint on



Will get the underside done over the weekend

No worries bud was gonna pop out and have a gander at your rag top......

half of it is propped up against the wall in my workshop, the other half is still in sam & lukes waiting for enough people to carry her round....

This is good to read, it reminds me of about where I got to before it had to be sold. You look like you are making good progress, nice one

Finished painting the floorpan today

Then cleaned up the gearbox and gave it a coat of paint, already to fit up tomorrow..................Forgot cam so pics to follow

fairplay bud sounds like its coming 2gether nicely.
