Yeah he proper took the piss then had more of a laugh when I told him I had to dig it all out and start again

You never know i might get the hang of it

After the crap effort with the filler the other day I decided to have another go and made sure that i got enough hardener in it this time

Looks a bit better now and is smoothed back ready for some top stop







Now i can get on with the O/S and hopefully get some primer on it next week

unfortunayly I've not done much too the old girl in the last few weeks, due to buying the t4 and loads of other stuff to do....

After going to see Nomates today and having a nose round his cars (which rock)
I found some inspiration and got back in the workshop..

Fitted up the rear wings to check the lines on the rear quarters and to test fit the rear valance and decided how i'm gonna fit it fixed or removable..Valance needs some work to make it fit properly as the engine bay seal runner don't line up

Trial fitted the decklid to see what it would look like without the no.plate light



Now i'm not sure if I should run with the tombstones or go for custom rear lights or if I should go for a solid decklid

What you guys recon?

It just so happens that I have a solid lid at the unit.

Although I do like the 2 vent.

It looked cool on my black bug

Any chance I could borrow it too see what it looks like

Run the solid, nice clean lines for that style of bug will look the squirls pods!!!

Will look to see which decklid suits it best will be running with stand-offs I think anyway

Defo the tombstones IMHO.
Custom lights are hard to pull off to look as if they are meant to there.

i reckon vented , stand offs , more vital cooling

Got the decklid welded up and ground back



And a massive thanks to Anton for sorting out the N/S rear quarter this was causing me massive headaches trying to get the fooker right it looks spot on now cheers Bruv
