That's on the cards for next year dude. Custom built narrowed beam, and respray on the inner wings.

As some of you know, I was unable to take it to the show on the lawns yesterday as the bugger wouldn't start. It seems the fuel pump gave up the ghost but has now been fixed.
Tomorrow the Pertronix is going in and the 009 is getting a going over.
Hope to have it on Friday at the meet.

It's coming back tomorrow night.

It's back. Now with 6v electronic ignition fitted and the fuel pump has been fixed for the time being, until I fit a 6v electric fuel pump and regulator that is.
I have 3 point belts fitted too so I can take both the kids in there safely.
I am however looking for an adaptor to fit the rear belts. If I undo the plastic blanks the hole is really big, I need the adaptors to enable me to fit the rear belts in.

Anyway, I have also had an oil temp gauge fitted so I can keep my eye on the engine........had a mare finding a 6v gauge and sender but we turned one up.

A specific loom was made and wrapped.

Nice and discrete down on the right, out of the way, but will allow me to make sure all is well.

Got to do some pre MOT work tonight.
New headlamps to fit and finish sorting all the leads etc.
Going to have a quick look at the washer pipes but think it is going to be a case of fitting the Lucas bottle.

Hmmmm, tonight didn't go as to plan.
Mrs Scoops has gone down with tonsilitus AGAIN so didn't even get out to the garage until gone 8:30 after doing dinner, washing up and getting the anke biters to bed.
Got one of the NOS headlamps fitted but then had to bugger about with rim as the one that came off had a seized adjusting screw.
It's getting picked up tomorrow get the other one fitted and hopefully my Sun systems tacho and the rear belts.
Pissed off I can't do it myself over the weekend but I have to get my decking ripped up ready for the builders the following week.
Fingers crossed for an MOT, and then TAX and then a proper clean ready for the show and shine on the beach lawns.

The Notch was picked up this afternoon to get the seals in the front and rear screen replaced.
They are meant to be a bit of a pig to get the trim in there.
Anyway, since there is possibly some bubbling in the flange where the window sits it looks like I am going to have to get the whole roof repainted.
Bugger!!!
I have already asked for pics as the work is done and will update the thread as I get them......
I think that will leave the bonnet and boot that haven't been repainted!!

Update, sadly no pics have come through as yet, but here is the story. Both front and rear screens have come out to replace the perished seals and it seems the dreaded tinworm has found its way into the bottom corners of each window.
The front is the worst and requires rotten metal cutting out and then a new flange being fabricated and welded in place.
Bit of a bugger really but it needed doing.
I am guessing the OG seals were put back in when the car was initially brought back from the dead (literally) in 1998/99 and they have slowly deteriorated.

To be truthful I found it at Oktoberfest last year, when I reached into the passenger footwell to get a chamois and found it soaked!!!
Al least I know when it comes back this time it will be 110% solid.
