Oh FFS! Just spoke to Sean at CC and the Notch ain't behaving itself. The front screen corners are done and the new seal is fitted along with the trim. The rear seal though is fitted and was a complete twat to do and the trim just will not fit in!
Need to find out from T3D if there is something being done wrong or if the rubber seal is a rogue duffer.
So, no Notch for tomorrow nights meet.

Hey ho, it happens.
We are hoping it is just a case of replacing the rubber.

Sean spoke to Paul at T3D and it seems they may have sent out a wrong sized seal. New one being sent FOC so all should be good for early next week.

There is still a problem with the seals but the rear one isn't too bad so for the time being the old one has gone back in until I can source one that does actually fit or even better find an NOS one.

The Notch will be back tomorrow. Hopefully I should have some pics to put up soon......

Right. The seals are sorted. The third one to come out from T3D went straight in so that problem is now sorted.
I had a couple fo little issues with the paint but that has also been sorted out.
The rear discs finally turned up from the US and they have been fitted, let's hope they are better quality this time.
Despite having the Kadrons replaced with the IDF's and the manifolds etc all ported and polished etc there was still a misfire, which following Mr Nomates advice was down to debris in the tank. The tank has been Pep-sealed and inline filters have been fitted.
The carbs were stripped and cleaned to make sure all the crap was out and refitted up. Despite none of the actual setting being buggered about with this is a slight pop back on over-run through the carb on 3 & 4.......
I also think it is running a tad rich again, so, I am going to give Chris (the guy at Puxton) a call and get it back on the rollers. Since nothing has been changed I think it just needs an hour on the rolling road to get the settings nailed again.

Have spoken to the tuning dude. First job is to check valve gaps tonight or Wednesday night. He is going to hopefully have it then for an hour on Friday afternoon to look at it. He has suggested it msy just be floats need resetting.
I am sure it's nothing too much to worry about.

make sure the engine is STONE cold when checking valve gaps , I always leave mine overnight

I am going to jack it up to get it on the ramps rather than drive it on so I can do it tonight hopefully.

Put the Notch up on ramps tonight, except it wasn't properly on them and it rolled back down again.
I wasn't paying attention properly as I was looking for where the kids were.
As it came down the very back of the wings at the bottom caught the ramps and chipped the paint both sides.
FFS!!!!!

A touch up job or more serious?

I've always put chucks under the wheels, can't risk it moving (2 ton) into the road as my drives on a slope!

Also, I'm normally under it!

It's just a touch up required, I'm just frustrated at myself.

axle stands would probably be better ,as you can get more space to check the valves with the wheels off
