Gungeys resto thread official!!

Huge thanks to Lee for the lesson tonight, I watched as the paint came alive right in front of me. Fucking brilliant.

Popped into nuts and bolts today for some...........yes, you guessed it nuts and bolts!! for the wings and doors.

Just need to finish flatting and then I will get them on.

I have rubbed through on quite a few areas now, but just concentrating on polishing and rebuilding for now.
If I can save the areas at a later date, I will try air brushing or something.
I will also have to respray the front and rear valance as water got in the paint and I have areas I just cant make them good.
but for now, I have refitted the doors, a couple of the wings and done some polishing.

nice one .....do you know if andy has finshed with my small spray gun .....I need to paint 4 bumpers ?

Got a few more bits done, sprayed the backs of the wheels with lacquer (finally!!). So I will be putting the tyres back on them this Friday.

Put the front window in, although think it may need to come out as its not feeling very tight in one corner so may not be central enough.

Polished up the bonnet and front wings. Thought is would be nice to mock them up on the car. what do you think?

I did a little on the wiring tonight and with a lot of help from shorty, paul and matt, (but mostly shorty), we got the deck lid on.
Polished up a few bits and just to see how it looked, I hung the front lights and rear lights on.





nothing connected yet, I just wanted to see how it looked.
