| I might not do the full black inset, I am thinking of leaving the edges siler to give it a silver bar type look. | |

| Pics coming up soon, but spent 12 hours solid on the car today. Mostly on the wheels as I has a few problems.
I tried something that didn't work but took hours to do!
The wheels are not as good as I had hoped but good enough. The wheels are not that well made, loads of variations on each wheel which caused a few problems. They just need lacquer now which will be next time I go out.
I did some flatting on the body, mainly the roof and started the rear and off side rear quarter panel

| This bug is fast becoming a fake patina effect!! I think I have rubbed through on most panels now, both rear wings and the bonnet!! There is only so much blending one man can do!! Lol
I am in a situation where I am not sure what to do, as I'm not sure if I will end up making it worse by attempting to blend, or I just go with what I have? I'm not happy about rubbing through but the finish on the paint is not great. I can't afford to respary.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I am now very frustrated.

| When you are frustrated, the best thing to do, is back off, do something else, and get back to it when you've calmed down.
Or have a wank. | |

Or have a wank. I can see a lot of masterbating happening very soon!! From what I understand, blending in is a bit of an art, what I don't want to do is mess up what I already have, money is currently not an option for more paint. I am fighting two elements, the first is the finish which I am trying to make good but it's not great, the second is by trying to make the paint good, I keep rubbing through.

| don't like to think of you down fella, not after all the hard work and blood and sweat you've put in. I've got some paint under the stairs, a really nice dulux...i'll come down the unit and blow it over for you...you'll need a good elbow to rub through this stuff! It'd take you years to get to fake patina, you are gonna have a high gloss finish that will make everyone stop and stare | |

| We are no longer alone in the unit!!!! Meet BIG RED!! Well it was always going to happen, I was so pissed off with rubbing through and going backwards that I thought fuck it. and started to make things shiny again!! I would rather have bits right now which are not perfect then try by myself to blend bits in and fuck it up more. A friend of mine is going to come and have a look to see what can be done and give me some pointers. but here we are. I then started cleaning up the windows and rubbers and as I havent messed up the rear quarter areas and rear window area, thought I would stick the windows in. | |

| Clocky- LOL wanna come paint my guff?
Gune - regardless of the faults you pick that look like one hot ride, the glazing work is nice, if worst comes to worst I've got a couple of tins of matt black in the garage!
Incidentally... love the patina 60's harvester - there's one like that sitting out at Kelston Drew in a friends barn ( next to his dozen steam rollers/tractors)
