Well I have been busy on the bug, preping for the filler primer.

Got it masked up on Friday night with Nomates with the plan to filler prime today.

Finished off masking and waited for Nomates, but he was held up on a job so I thought ^uck it, I will have a go.

I got the mix on the filler primer all wrong and had the gun set up badly, so I got a few runs here, there every bloody where!! lol but it will flat back ok.

I will post up a few pics later.

seriously ...sorry about today dude , worked all morning , then realised the original pipwork was all wrong .....other wise I would be with you ....and we could of had the runs together .....lol

My my my, havent I been a busy boy tonight!!

Filled and sanded the bonnet, then did it again, and again!!

Then got some etch primer on it as well as one of the wings.
It was bear metal and I would prep for filling, then not finish it so kept getting surface rust. I am not 100% happy with it even now its etched but it should save me less time sanding down before I start each time!!
Only the tops of each are done, time was against me so I can do the undersides next time.

Top work Gunge, it's going to look great, keep on rubbing............the paint!
 

I mocked up the car by putting the wings on.



I stripped down the doors and found that the bottoms had gone more than I had thought.



I toyed with the idea of replacing the doors but money is tight right now. fortunately shorty (joker67) had the old skins off his with the bottoms are in good nik.






So cut one off and mocked it up on mine, cut the lower section off and drilled and rivited the bottom skin on.
welded it on. next time I go out, I need to grind them down and lightly fill the area, then its on to the other door.

Andy is my Yoda (if not a little taller!!)

He was busy getting his door perfect last night!!

It is as good as in the pictures, he did really well last night.
a bit of luck i did not destroy the old skins removing them, so had some good sections for the bottoms of the doors.

next up the other side, and that has got to be better now you've had some practice.

Not a chance!! lol Firstly I will be in Bishop Auckland and secondly after eating and drinking like a pig all day on Christmas day, there is not a hope in hell I would be out running the next day!! lol.
