Well... havent updated in a while due to moving into a new place with girlfriend, which means most of my time and money has been eaten by growing up. Booo

Done a few things to KAT, nothing too exciting though. Mainly fixing things that keep breaking.

Yeah both me and dad have been out driving the buggy a bit lately so may of been either me or him! Theres normally a border collie hanging its head out when dad is driving.
Didnt see you im affraid Scoopy, me and the wifey were popping into the ski slope to book up a few Snow board lessons.

I was in the mighty Polo dude, only noticed you once I'd passed.
I was off out to Blagdon Water Gardens to get some fish.

This is epic, I see you driving about in jolly Weston and I drool every time I see it, seriously amazing craftsmanship dude

Bit of an update although nothing too exciting.-

Had the inlet manifolds off as had a leak from the gasket, so though whilst i had it off this was a good chance to get and fix / tidy / finish other things in the engine bay that i cant normally get to. Took the Cam cover off and inspected the Cam lobes for damage, and the wear on the Top Timing Chains which seemed good, so i suspect its the lower chains that are worn... Engine out and gearbox off job.

Before re-assembling top of engine thought i'd add a bit of colour and detail. The idea was there but now its finished i wish i hadnt started as its a bit errr 'in yer face'

Managed to source another VR engine but has the headgasket gone, which isnt a problem as i plan to use this engine as the Turbo'd VR lump which involves removing the head anyway to fit a spacer gasket etc.

Also whilst the car was at the unit my misses found i had a mouse problem .... it seems a family of brown mice have taken shelter in the car and have the run of everywhere. Whilst driving it out the garage i could hear the buggers running along inside the sills!!!!!
So i now have 3 mouse traps sat in the car waiting!

I hear your wife might be keeping her horse up my mates farm!

Well havent updated here for what seems like a loooooong time.
Nothing really exciting has happened to be honest, just fixing things and trying to make her a bit neater as the past few months has taken its toll on the old girl and its starting to show.

With all this heavy rain recently i have discovered the car leaks like a damn siv and so i had to remove all the carpets and try and dry them out. Although the car is stripped (excluding the carpet) its just not nice driving it with no doorcards etc so i waxoiled the insides of doors and stuck polothene on the inside of the doors to stop the water coming in. I am on the lookout for some decent Mk2 Early doorcards if anybody knows of any as i stupidly threw mine away thinking i would never use them again!! DOH!

Also got my mate to come and sort out my suspension allignment. He made me raise it 20mm and as much as i dissaproved i admit now the car rides so much nicer and isnt as crashy as it used to be. He also set up a 1.5 degree 30 minute negative camber on the front and adjusted my tracking. The cars handling has transformed which goes to show how much a decent setup can improve it so much. As soon as spring comes i will get him to dial in a more aggressive 2 degree ready for more track action.

Overall very happy with the way is coming along now, and even though i only really drive it at weekends i took her out for a blast round Weston last night, had a 'play' with a few local chavs and i admit it did put a smile on my face!
