I am not going to be able to make this meet.

I can't moan too much as I am off to Dublin for the weekend for a stag do.
I am a bit nobbed off though as Impy is hoping to have Ruby there......

Ace, will be cool. Although ive only been to the one ( because its always on days I work), I shall be turning up at this one, as its 3 days before Oz and ill NOT be working! Very Happy

Sure have dude, go into restorations and click 'beetlebums panel'. Its in white primer at the mo, flatted etc, topcoat is going on this saturday. Smile

Cheers Oli, ironically my names Olly too. Would be good to have a chat. The van started as one of those 'too cheap to pass up on' after selling my cabrio, but then I got myself on a resto course and learnt how to do basic repairs/prep etc, and with some help from good friends on here, managed tp get the welding done, which left me the task of everything else. Then I got a bit carried away and ended up taking it to a level I never really thought I would. So, as opposed to doing some MOT 'repairs' to get it through, its ended up being a semi resto, with about 60hrs being spent on it at least. Smile

Ask people who have known me long enough and they'll tell you 2 things about my vw addiction, no.1 I like to polish, polish, polish... no.2 I rarely keep a dub for more than 3 months. But this van has broken both those miulds, its been in my ownership for 8 months and I have NEVER washed it (well I did to get the primer dudt off but that doesn;t count). Smile

I'm half tempted to hold back from the end of month meet so I can get it all done (i..e sign written etc). Smile

Too true dude...after months of dark and dingy nights....and everytime I come to a meet it piss's down so hard i can hardly see all the cool dubs in the club.....summer is going to rock.....
.....AND I may be bringing with me my nephew who tonight bought his first aircooled vw baja bug....(he is too young to drive) ...if I'm not mistaken the only baja bug in the club so far??.......the meet will as per usuall ROCK afro
