Well i had enough of that bloody horrible exhaust backbox, it stuck out too far, never fitted properly and i just generally hated it. But i also couldnt find a single pipe like i wanted for decent money so i went from this...

And after a bit of re-allignment ended up with this...




I have since tidyed it up a bit so its all straight and no sharp edges.

I think its a massive improvement and will do until i can find a single pipe.

Have been trying to find out why the car had a random intermittent misfire / hunting problem and after replacing all the ignition and fuel system i traced the fault down to a faulty Lamda Sensor. The Fault never showed up on my VAGCOM which meant i had to find the fault the expensive way by replacing bit by bit with new parts until i found the fault.
At least now i have a new Coil pack, Ignition leads, Spark plugs, Dizzy, Dizzy Cap, Fuel lines, fuel filters, etc.

Anyway the car made it down to Plymouth for Plymfest so i was happy about that.

The paint isnt that old tbh so it does polish up really nicely. Its just i hardly ever clean it, let alone polish it so those photos are a rare example of it shniy!

Yeah it is a comedy sticker although i would like to point out that nothing is bodged on this car! hahaha!!

Also the timing chains and tensioner is getting worse as in rattling more so i think the engine will be removed sooner than expected as i dont fancy the chains snapping whilst driving. So maybe early August i will take the car off the road, give it an overhaul and that would be the perfect oppitunity to fit the Turbo kit.

cool turbo ummmmmmmmmm, do you know anything about the mk4 golf 20v turbo mate and if so fancy haveing a look at gavs at bristol and giveing some advice ??

Theres a motor round here with a duck call straped to the dump valve. Funniest thing I've ever heard!!

Bit of an update....

my standard VR6 4bar fuel regulator gave up and a replacement was near on £100, so i bought an FSE Power Boost Valve (fancy word for adjustable fuel regulator). This will make it easier to regulate the fuel once the engine is Turbocharged also!

i used to have a 'puller' radiator fan in the engine bay but decided to fit a 'pusher' fan on the other side of the rad giving me more room in the engine bay, also looks a bit neater.



Also fitted the rear section of the cage
