We almost painted her when we painted Joey we had a fair bit of dark flint left.. and she was sitting there.....

Fair enough! I know that feeling I wouldn't be able to sell it straight away anyway cos I need it to roll her round the garage till I get the new one on. Wouldn't want the earth for it anyway cos it needs towers.

He got them from Spirit Of The 50s. They seem very, very nice quality.

Hmmmm, the cab needs some new carpets....

Well I'd reccomend these ones they've got a rubbery type backing too so they'll last for ages, and Steve got the optional fancy bits round the gearstick and handbrake put on for me which really finishes them off!

Did he get them from them direct or through somewhere else???

So today I decided that we'd give the new beam a trial fit. So we removed the old beam and offered it up - and it fitted mm perfect!




So all is good! I was worried that I might have to beat the car about a bit to get it to fit as it's a 5in with fitted shock towers but it fitted like a glove.

So back off it came as I wanted to paint the framehead.

A bit of sanding and it was ready:




And a lick of POR-15:


Hopefully get to refit the beam etc next weekend.

Oh i can't wait go and put her ALL back together NOW..

Keep thinking of narrowing my ozzy bug's beambut it sits soooo sweet and drives well nice, i dont wanna loose that..
