I'm hoping to have him up there on at least one of the days.
I took him to Stonor last weekend and I think I've killed the maf. Lukes got a new one for me which I need to pop up to the show to get and then fit it at home. I'll only take him if it's dry as I think rain killed the maf - he's not got any wheel arch liners on so the air intake (which is in the wheel well) sucked up a load of water I just hope I haven't killed the engine :'(

Erm. Well I fitted a new air filter, took him to Bristol Volksfest in limp mode. Fitted a new MAF at the show, took him for spin and all seemed back to normal - problemo fixed! or so I thought...
Anyways, I go to leave the show, get out onto the main road and all power is cut again, so I turn round and go back to our club stand..... lots of smoke starts coming out of the exhaust, I get chased by a couple of DBS members to let me know, then he runs out of enough power to get up the teeny tiny hill into our club pitch....
RAC man arrives and diagnoses a faulty EGR valve, and sends for the recovery tuck. Recovery truck refuses to come on site so we have to drive the car to the gate. Thankfully a load of my friends from Evvo were there to supply me with tea for the wait and to walk with me to the gate to make sure I got to the recovery truck ok.
Smug face or what???
So I get him home late on Saturday night, dump him on the drive and go back to the show on Sunday in Herbie.... where we got soaked.
Anyway, I got the EGR valve off:
Yucky yucky! Did an EGR delete and cleaned out the intake manifold. Put him back together and off I went for a test drive....
Oh good! As I accelerated the pipe from the EGR valve to intercooler had popped off under boost.
So Steve came to rescue me with tools and we put it back together. Off we went again, put my foot down slightly and POP again.... pants! So again put it back together. Finally got home after crawling back as gently as we could..... pipe had *just* held:
So I got some new clips... you can see here how much bigger the old clip had stretched:
And O ring:
Went for a test drive and he didn't quite feel 'right'. He seemed to be running ok, but didn't have the power I knew he should have. Then he went into limp mode again.
I quite like limp mode actually - it makes him sound awesome!
So the next thing on the list was to take the turbo off as it might have 'sticky vanes' from soot clogging it up.
So took it apart to clean it...... and then I rounded off some stupid torx screws and pretty much ruined the turbo
So now I've taken him off the road and I'm going to strip him all down again, so an inside and out respray and get lots more power from the engine with a hybrid turbo, new injectors/nozzles, intercooler etc etc etc.
