I cut the apron off a couple of weeks ago to pull the engine out! Bolt on is the way to go! .... I just gotta get round to bolting it back on!

I gotta say your bug looked real sweet in the rear view morror! I now really fancy a later bug!

that pod is the bollox mate.............you should get a unit & go out on your own making this stuff (you'd make a fortune, i reckon!)

If your not keen on the speedo down there, what about mounting a big race style tacho in it??

5L clearcoat
2.5L hardener
10L thinners and
5L silver candy base coat!


All for a very good price!
Just need some candy and a bit more hardener to go with it!

... Maybe some metal flake and pearl powder too!

I reckon a similar pod mounted on the bonnet with a tacho fitted in it could be cool, perhaps not quite so large though.....

Could be good scoops, but we don't want to over-pod, it could be dangerous and the peas get everywhere!

I must admit I have been incredibly slack keeping up with this thread as of late but what a treat to catch up! Jesus Dave you are thee Man! How much of a chop are you going for? a subtle 2" or the whole 6"?! I guess you have the gearstick to take into consideration on how low you can go! That pod is sick man, I did actualy lol!

I'm thinking about a semi subtle 3/3.5" chop at the moment. Without cutting down the shifter I think that's about as low as I can go! (every time I shift to 3rd at the moment, I knock the rear view mirror! )
