| Rear valance fitted up, door handles ( original chrome ones that came with car were stripped powder coated Black, also got different barrels and keys for them so i have a separate key for the doors) , started to wax oil throughout in as many places as possible, seat belts etc fitted for MOT, need to make a bush to slip over the bolt for one of the seats, pics later

| took the beam of the other day for a measure up as got a problem at the front with one wheel sticking out more than the other, will re assemble and me sure all to find out whats wrong , might weld up another seat subframe tonight to | |

| fitted the engine lid , light cover and lock refitted beam still dunoo whats up on front end , filled the doors with waxoil in every nook and cranny, 2 400ml cans in each door | |

| i had the wheel prob on all 3 of the bugs ive owned, some said it was down to after market wings, other's said the wheels, im sure mine was down to drop spindles

was same on duie when i first got him The drivers wheel was in the wing, this was the passenger side i changed tyres and wings but still always had the passenger side out slightly further than drivers. Im sure my prob ended up being something to do with the drop spindles, when i chaged them the prob went away | |

| problem occurs with both dropped and std spindles :/ i know dropped spindles push the track out both sides, wings are csp widened ones , im pretty sure the wings are ok there quite hard to measure in the Same points on both, i have eccentric camber adjusters too | |

| That stretch looks a bit gash...
If you are still struggling to measure your wings/wheels/beam, you could try chalking it out on your garage floor, it's a bit primative, but a plumb line from each edge will get you an accurate idea of where each edge is. If string and chalk suited Brunel, you'll work it out!
