| So the gearbox looks like its internal damage Me and Chipper got the engine out last night, only 2 hours All out The clutch / flywheel / pressure plate looks to be ok, will dismantle this tonight But the damage seems to be inside the box so that will have to come out If its quite expensive to repair then I will probably IRS the rear end | |

| you will be lucky for a 1 year warrenty on a gearbox.
i would not strip it as you need tooling to sort gears out.
i would call cog box and ask if he can repair it.
irs route is going to cost you, new box, 930 cv joints by the way you drive, and axles.
welding the mounts in correct position and getting correct arms, bushes and end caps. | |

| gave cogbox a ring today and they can convert my swing axle box to IRS as long as my case is still ok,
Just need to get the box out of the car now and sourced a spare SW axle box axle to axle to refit so I can roll the car off to the old dubshop for IRS mounts to be welded in
Cant wait | |

| Well its been a while since i touched this due to lack of funds :/ In Janury once i finished some bits at home going to crack back onto this Im not 100% yet, but i may whip the pan off to do the work. If i do its gonna get blasted and rust protective powder coat the gloss black powder coat after I have done the work on it At the front Im going to get ether this or http://www.red9design.co.uk/Wishbone%202%20front%20angle.jpg the Mendola one costs a bit more but has a anti roll bar. I possible could add an anti roll bar to the red9design unit. For the rear I need to weld in the A Arm pivot mounts and clearance the framehorns. Most people just heat them up and watch the Sh*t out of them, I on the other hand want to cut the sections out of a IRS rear end and weld them into mine. here is a standard S/A Framehorn here is a IRS Framehorn gonna need porsche axles etc I want to tie all the rear frame horns in with the suspension top mounts etc. I would like a bigger engine but I dont think my funds will allow after doing all this. Im sure there will be lots of little stuff in addition to this but thats the main work, Cant wait ! | |
