| you need to drill the bonnet seal lip off with a spot weld drill bit, ( the milling type), or a good pair of mole grips and a sharp chisel, wiggle the seal channel side to side with a bit of force and it will break away.
then grind the remains off.

| whs ^^
remove the paint with a rotary wire brush ......then you can see the little suckers ....then use a spot weld bit (nuts and bolts sell them ,but they are about £8 ) then it will just come away

| this should be a feature in a mag .....talk about thinking outside the box .......the younger kids want speed and performance ....so they buy clios, and corsa's ........but martin has all this in a classic bug
i'm sure its not to everyones taste (resto-cal -cal ect)....but fair play .....a classic bug is hard enough to keep on the rd ....let alone moding it to this level ........nice one dude | |

| I've already spoke to him about this dude. Once the paint and interior are done I am going to write it up. I love this car, and WizBangs enthusiasm, and the fact that he asks questions and listens. You, young Wiz Bang are a credit to the 'yoof' of today!! | |

| went down to check the mounts for the gearbox today thought id take some pic's whilst i was down there , coming together now , the majority of the trims holes have been welded up just the bonnets ones i think left to do, the rear moons things by the rear quaters have had a plates made up and welded in to, aerial hole, mirrors holes etc have has plates made and welded up to , the only holes im keeping are the front and rear grills, door engine bonnet locks / handles and obveously the wiper and screen jet hole gotta change the rear cradle too for the gearbox so i can use uprated mounts as mine has some some weird late style one which you cant get from rhino mounts :C, | |
