| Mini Update... Today I replaced the fuel lines in the engine bay, the carb/fuel pump one was perished to buggery but of the cloth braided type so wasn't instantly noticable, was a little damp anyhows... Couldn't get any 5.5mm line locally so squeezed some 5mm on with proper clips, the one from the hard line through the chassis had no clip at all!!! I will replace the one under the fuel tank when I have a bit more time, and bung a filter underneath while im there as they are better there than in the engine, less electrical things to leak on!!! I connected the air filter up correctly with some vacuum hose, as there was none attached. I reconnected and set up the auto-choke, which had been previously disconnected, as I don't think my neighbours have appreciated my 5 minutes of throttle blipping early in the mornings so far, works a treat, comes off quickly enough and runs a lot smoother, if a little fast, but that will be adjusted after I've done the plugs/valves and that. Greased the front beam, not sure if it had been done recently, but it has now. No pictures, but if I don't write things down as I do them I'll forget I have, and I want to keep a record of everything I've done so I keep on track!!! | |

| Thought it best to nail the important stuff before I go spunk my budget on shiney bits, its not gonna be a daily driver, but it will be used a fair bit, I usually kill cars within a month of buying them, so these are preventative measures!!!
It could do with some new studs putting in the oil strain cover, a couple have been over tightened in the past and wouldn't do up really, and one was replaced with a small bolt, but there are no leaks as yet, only spanked it round the block though. Old fanbelt was really loose too, so happier now i know its done.
Got a few more little bits and bobs to do this week before the fun stuff can begin.
I'll take the digi cam to work tomorrow, I meant to take some of the underside the other night, its REALLY bloody clean by my standards! Makes up for the topside haha! | |

| Some gimps decided it might be cool to rip the aerial off the n/s/f quarter leaving two holes where it was attached and remove my wingmirror and lob it on Friday night just gone, then commando slide across the bonnet from the looks of it Mirror was salvaged, but i now have 3 ugly holes and no frikkin aerial. I know its not exactly a showcar, but its not the point, Ive been drunk and I've never trashed someones ride Did recieve the other key in the post, joy! Cheers Rich if you read this... | |

| Scumbags. I would get a replacement of Rich but in the mean time give yours a good thick coat of that vandle-proof paint that doesn't dry and will screw their best market Burberry gear up!!! | |

| Had a quiet morning at work, so managed to fit new aerial, back to standard one now, also now got a lockable decklid catch, done valve clearances/new gaskets, fitted new points, condensor, rotor arm and dissy cap. Turned the idle down a bit, didn't mess with the mixture/timing, Im gonna let Parse Snr do a proper tune as he has all the gas analysers/timing lights and shit, and as its a 77, I don't think its exempt from emissions testing. Took all wheels off and gave inner wings a good blast, found one small bit of grot the size of a 50p on the N/S/R, so quite happy with that. Thats about it as far as getting things up together servicable items wise that I can think of, Im going to adjust the brakes as its snatching a bit after being stood for a couple days, thinking maybe a small leak onto the shoes on one side at the front, after a couple breaks its ok after they've cleaned up a bit. So now its onto tidying up the cosmetic sides of things and getting it looking more how I'd like it too, the fun stuff, so should be more pictures! | |
