| Took delivery of these today..... Still need to make the subframes before fitting. The main reason i chose these was because they have no manufacturer logo on the headrest like all the others, instead i am going to call upon a favour from my dads mate who retrims the Rolls Royces and Bentleys for us (his work is the best ive ever seen) and get him to stitch my dads company logo onto the headrests! | |

| After a hectic few days i decided to get outside in the cold and work on the car (now re-named 'MONEYPIT' ) Started off fitting all water hoses, shortened a few so they would sit nicely without any cinks etc. Then fitted radiator and fan, filled with water, then started the engine. After a few seconds water started to piss out everywhere from thermostat area, so i stripped it all back down again and found the plastic thermostat housing had cracked! Ive ordered a new one now so should arrive on tuesday! Also attempted to bleed the brakes until realised one of the rubber caliper hoses had split! So ordered a set of Goodrich Steel braided ones which should also arrive tuesday! So much for making progress..... | |

| Fitted new Goodrich Braided Brake lines to the front Finally got some room in the workshop, so i can work on the car in the warm from now on. I will then fit the Braided rear brake lines and bleed the system. After the last incident with my old car im not cutting corners with the brakes, everything is being uprated! | |

Not too far, jobs left are.... 1. Fit rear Braided brake lines 2. Bleed Brakes / Clutch system 3. Fit wheels and re-adjust coilovers to good ride height (LOW) 4. Make Exhaust Tailpipe and fit 5. Fit new Thermostat housing and reassemble water pipe work 6. Fit radiator and mount fans somehow 7. Finish sorting / tidying wiring inside car and get a few things working that arnt 8. Fit frontend on car 9. Fit Carpet / Seats / harnesses / rear strut brace And i think that is pretty much the bulk of it

Haha I cant wait. Although the thought of 232bhp through the front wheels in this weather isnt too appealing The real fun starts when the weather drys up and the turbo is fitted!

| Did a bit more today Fitted new Thermostat housing with new Thermostat and O-rings, Fitted Radiator and coolant pipes AGAIN, filled with water and started up. After about 2 minutes of running the Secondary water pump decided to leak This pump is used to circulate water around the system for a few minutes after engine is switched off so i just removed it and bypassed it for a temp fix just for today. So i started car again and left running to get it to normal operating temp, all seemed good with no leaks so i decided to nip in the house and make a cup of tea, bit too confident i think as when i came back out i had a nice suprise.... my brand new Auxillery Belt tensioner and belt had some how buggered up and shreaded the pulley and belt. GRRRR The Tensioner pulley The Belt So looks like this week i need to buy a new secondary Water pump, Tensioner, and belt. Also fitted my new tax disc holder, even though i got some air bubbles trapped in it! | |

| Got some goodies from Belgium.... Sabelt 3 point harnesses and subframe / runner for my seats At least now on the weekend i can fit the front section of carpet, and then the seats / harnesses. Still waiting to get hold of a new Aux water pump (mega money!), an alternator as mine doesnt seem to charge anymore, a new belt tensioner, and also new belt. Im also looking into why my engine has an aux water pump?! There were 2 types of VR6 eninges - an OBD1 (early type) and an OBD2 (later type). All OBD2 engines use this water pump to circulate water around the system for a few minutes when engine is switched off, this isnt the case on an OBD1 engine (which mine is) so im wondering if possible to by-pass the pump? | |
