Ta! Just gotta do the tappets, bolt the wipers on and connect up the motor, adjust the washers, bolt the rear bumper on, add fuel and find the chucky for the drill so we can change the bit to fit the last popout catch.


She's all ready for MOT then

Yes we now have our own MOT testing station

Yep all on course for CTTP - fingers crossed the MOT doesn't throw up any nasties, the registering goes ok and Scoops has booked good weather!

I know - it's scary, isn't it?!

Finally got the other popout fitted. And the valves adjusted - it turned out that there wasn't any shims behind them. I took the rocker off Joey's old engine and fitted that one (with shims) and it adjusted up nicely! Anyway - I thought i'd take some pics of what she's looking like now as she looks 'complete' - something she hasn't looked like for years! It's hard to get a pic of the 'whole' of her in the garage, but you get the idea. Hopefully tomorrow or Mon I can drive her outside and take some proper pics.

Only 3 more weeks to go (I think?!?), can't wait to see it up close!

It'll be touch and go if I can get her reg in time for CTTP - she goes into the garage on the 2nd for brake work etc then MOT. Depends on what he find wrong with her and how long it takes to fix! Then I've got to reg her.....

Just fixed the handbrake - the little stick wotsit which goes on the ratchet - it had flipped round and wasn't ratcheting.

Charged the battery up last night and getting some fuel today so hopefully we might get her moving under her own steam! Which will make a change from us pushing her around in the garage - no idea why, but Joey's much easier to move about than she is! I used to be able to push Joey in and out of the old garage on my own with engine and interior in. But I could never get Bella back in on my own very well when she had no interior and no engine!

Well we got some more fuel for her and charged her battery last night and yesterday afternoon we fired her up! She idled on her own beautifully and there was no backfiring or hesitation on pressing the accelerator cable Then I tried to move her to see if that worked - and it did! So we went 50cm forward to the freezer an 50cm back to Joey

I did a little video of her running - but it sounds a bit pants! i think it's because the mic on my camera isn't good and it's in the garage which won't help! But anyway:

Well she emerged from the garage for the first time today!

Got a video of her coming out - she gets stuck on the chunk of metal which holds the padlock for the security bar I'll add that when it finally uploads! So we had to put some wood under her wheels to get her out!


Got her down on the road with a little scraping and a little bit of angling....

Cheers guys. Gotta sort a few issues out now. Think I need to put the front up a click cos I'm not sure I'll get very far if the road is bumpy

And sort out the clutch weirdness.
