And if Dan had even run the times he'd put in at Big Bang then he would have beaten Spence the slowcoach! affraid lol!

What did Spence run (In Java?).......??

I think he said he ran low 18's but back off at about 1/8 mile as it felt as if it was gonna get out of shape. He has predicted into the 12's when all the wheel alignment etc is sorted... affraid

Top work!!

That's a shame, must have had some problems to be slower than before No

It's not as easy as it looks or sounds though. And not many people run down into the 12's.

Take bigger balls than I've got to attempt that one in a bug

rick get it right the rod ran 20.06 not in the 21's Evil or Very Mad lol!

it was down to the track being way too sticky so the rear tyres were causing massive amounts of drag so it went like it would have if i had left the handbrake on No (smaller tyres would have helped alot this weekend lol! )

took the car out against a 16 second car earlier and pissed all over it (I WAS NOT RACING ON THE PUBLIC HIGHWAY AS THATS STUPID AND DANGEROUS Wink ) but on track yesterday could only get twenties so it must have been the track conditions slowing me down.

but on a brighter note got there and back in one piece with no breakages so thats good Cool oh and the car sounds wicked lol!

very true....i reckon my car is probably good for 12's but i very much doubt if i could get it to do it.....and as you say you would need some very big balls....and yep its not as easy as it looks

Have you done any drag racing 1584cc?? i'll take all the advise i can get

Big up to Dan though....i'm sure you'll get there....and as he said driving 300 odd miles and getting the bug down the strip is no mean feat.....no trailer queens in this club (YET)

lol!

The orange bug's been down Shakespeare county raceway a few times. Mind you in those days it was called 'Avon Park'. Laughing

I'm afraid my best time is only 18.3 at just over 70 Sleep

That was with a 1600 TP and twin choke webber, oh and driving without much mechanical sympathy lol!

Even at that speed it feels as though you're going fast though and as you say it is addictive.

Spenny, what was wrong with the handling of your car then?
