What's left to do before it's ready? Does it have an MOT?

The MOT ran out in January. Just found my to do list, and it's longer than I remember, but I do have 2 weeks paternity leave coming up very soon!

finish quarter lights
fit front windows
replace front axl trailing arm grub screw
weld spare wheel well
service engine
fit seatbelts
fit front break shoes
adjust breaks and hand break
fit tail lights
finish wiring horn lights etc.
fit rear valance
fit rear bumper
fit number plates
finish cutting down wiper blades and fit
connect speedo cable
adjust doors
adjust bonner and fit seal
torque rear hub nuts
fit carpet
colour sand and polish deck lid and bonnet
fit mirrors

Deff longer than my list and im worrying not anymore

TBH I should be able to get most of the things that are essential knocked off the list in one good weekend. And there are alot of jobs that'll only take five minutes. I've just been fart assing around this weekend really.

Well stop pi$$ing about and get on with dude...........

Been cracking on with the quarter lights. Got the rubbers cut down and the opening ali frames cut and welded. They'll need a lick of simi gloss black as I had to gring the chrome off. Don't think I've got time to get them re-chromed as I want to get the windows in asap. Just gotta cut some lexan and they can go in.

that would be a shame painting them will it go with your other shiny bits

Either there or there's Avon plating on the old mixon.

there will be baby feeding, nappy changing and sick clearing up for you to do,while daves working on the bug

Had a bit of a slow day on the bug today. Got the last of the windows in. And in the process, managed to strip the teeth off the driver side winder mechanism, so it won't go up or down. One step forward, two steps back!

I can understand why you don't see that many chops with em. They were more of a head f*ck than I thought they'd be... But well worth the effort. I love quarter lights.

With CTTP less than 2 weeks away I thought it best I cracking on the bug, so I booked an MOT for wednesday 2pm... Still lots to get done. But A tight deadline will make me pull my finger out!
Finished welding the frame head and bottom of shock towers today(they suffered some serious road rash! ). And bolted up new numberplates, mirrors and a few other odds n' sods.

OMG how did I miss the updates on this thread! Dave that stering wheel looks utterly uttery incredible!

Good luck for the MOT! You wont need it.
