Is that the Mercury built by Phil Shillito, I worked with him when he was building it and when he got divorced his missus sold it!

yeh its the same car my dad started the project by fitting the new chassis then sold it to phil then brought it back

cool, he will be pleased to know it is still in good hands

He can't run that fast. I only promised to love and honour. I refused to say the version of the vows with obey in! He would have taken it literally and i aint that stupid!

Nope stock hight and steels or he doesn't use my car! Could even see if we could get it higher! Plus he's got to use really girly seats!

Today was the first day I've had free for a while. About time to do something on the bug. As I dropped Rach at work, she told me to do something useful. ie, NOT LOWER IT!...... Red rag to a bull!

I dug out my old 90mm narrowed beam and dropped spindles and bolted them to the car! Had to narrow the track rods that were already on the car, so if Rach don't like it I can't put it back how it was!
It needs a while for the suspension to settle (the back looks much higher than it usually is), but it looks much better already!

Went to cribs this evening. As we were getting off the M5 onto the slip road we actually managed to smash a couple of cats eyes!!!!
Rach got very embarassed every time we hit a speed bump and stopped dead!
