At the end of month meet andy ham noticed my drivers front wheel had camber so i striped it all apart



to find my drop spindle was snapping not good



so i was going to put standard ones on but couldnt finish as they are wrong track rods the rich come to the rescue thanks dude will be soted in the morning

Oh and the bits turned up to stop my clutch vibrations and my speedo cable

did you get a clip with your speedo cable

no mate i made one out of a washer and used the old cable as the new one wouldnt go through the spindle but the old one hadnt snaped

Dude ,why did your dropped spindle start to brake??? was it home made or proffesional,and what was the vibration on your clutch in the end........I have a slight vibration o my clutch...(still can't find the cause of it yet)

We're not sure if they're home made or the early CB perfomance one cos they snap as well ask DirtyDave

Home made but they have lasted a year with me they was on there when i got him so now after some proper ones when funds allow

as for vibration mines the pressure plate is fooked again so bought another one but going to do the gearbox mounts as well as it could be them

sometimes its just cable ajustment soughts it

Stupid fing bug anyone want it im soaked all track rod ends shagged, steering box arm shagged, drums wont fit spindles ive had enough of this shit ive now cut into the beam to i cant handle much more well back out to play with a shed

Carl, do you think it can be rewelded?
I had a look at my old ones, and the one that broke only had half as much weld on it as the other!

i welded it back up mate but dont trust it now as was told ive got to get it hot the weld it

right standard spindles fitted to find i had to change the backing plates and drums all track rod ends done steering box arm sorted but now its high help

It does help to get it hot first! But if you fired enough heat into it, it should be ok!... I assume it was mig welded? More than 200 amps?
If you want, I could grind the weld off and reweld it for you?
Or you could sell em on VZI, then buy another set!

I was thinking of cleaning them up coat of paint sell them on vzi then buy a proper set but i will bring it to the mid month meet dude let you have a look see what you think cheers dave
