Right went out to start work on the inside of the rear arches diidnt exspect what i found but now it means the body has to come of ???

and some more rear arch rot

also need to do some work on the sills

right piccies of the body off cheers rich would never have done it with out you and would never have broke my fence but ha at least i have drive way gates now ;D

How long you planning to have your bug off the road?? Should be rock solid when youhave finished if that is the only repairs you have got to do....

it was only for a little while but now due to lack of funds it will be a couple of months maybe longer gutted as i wanted to come to the next meet but no transport now, but yes after ive done all the repairs he will be a lot more solid and stronger

Just under £200 at GSF and 2 weekends welding and he'll be back on the road The best thing you could of done bud i know your gutted that you have to WALK now but it'll be worth it in the end

maybe a bit longer than 2 weeks mate no money at mo, your right i am gutted ive got to walk you no me but then its all worth it in the end, im also gutted cos im going to miss the secound meet already missed the first one oh well not like its the last one

write ive started the panel work and there is alot of it

and ive sort of started welding it

after so far

I didnt relize it was quite hard to do a body of as this is my first, it seems the more i do the more i find abit heart breaking realy one day into the welding and i already wish i hadnt started i hope its worth it

right outer sill is now on and the pillars are welded on to the sill instead of filled the inner rear wheel arch is welded and the outer one is cut of

i also ripped down my fence to get it in the garden ,ive got people complaining about the noise though not good i told them 2 weeks and i will stop didnt go down to well

good thing is when hes finished i can put a new post in and 2 new panels but put them on hingies so they look like a fence but are secret gates

right update time rear arch is finished just need to weld in the body mount panel oh and grind it all down first



heater channel is all finished and ground down



got started on the front hopefully have all the drivers side done by the end of tomorrow

right update drivers side is now complete apart from the bodymount panel red oxide is on so got to seal it then paint again with red oxide then paint black

and now rolled over ready to start the passenger side oh and measured the inner rear wing this time ;D
