fair play ,

I've read this thread about 3 times now (that alone show's how impressed I am)

its fantastic to see the skills of our club members not just chucking great wads of cash at someone and saying "build me one of those".....this car may never win any shows but I have more respect for it than a proffessionally built one ...AND ,seeing as I own a welder and a grinder ,it has just inspired me to start howard (the rust bug from hell)....

WELL DONE!!!

is it on the road yet?

Be careful dude, I have just come to my first year end of trading as self employed and I certainly wasn't able to not pay tax!!! I did however manage to get it down to 19%.
If you want I could give you a number for my accountant, I am sure he would be willing to have a chat with you providing of course you sign up with him if you go for it. All your set up costs could be set up against expenses etc, and doing something like that it would pay you to be VAT registered too so you can claim back the VAT on business purchases. As long as you syphon off the money for the VAT and IR as soon as youget it and leave it sat in a high interest account with notice required it means you can't get at it and it is making you a couple of quid a month too. I'm no expert but would be happy to offer any help I can if you are starting out. I am sure Spence could help too on this subject.
