Well i've just got ack from town and picked up a couple dodgy stickers to stick on them just to cover the bits that need a little bit more work..

Nearly got them finished earlier but due to family probs they got ripped off the van so need to redo the rear mounts..

Got the whole things sanded down from 40grit to 400grit then made some rear mounts welded them to the steps and got them bolted on the van so it would just been the fronts to do... But now gonna he to redo them, some things can be mended some can't..

And as i have no phone i can't take any pics to show you... And Frizz's camera only takes green pics and they wont load to the 'puter..

All finished and mounted on the van and looking pretty good if i don't say so myself...

You know what's coming...............

We also blacked out the rear windows on friday before jambo..

I had to do a well over due oil and filter change... And while i was draining the oil i made myself a EGR blank so whipped the intercooler out popped the EGR pipe off gave it a little clean out and fitted the blank..

Decided not to buy a rock and roll bed cos they cost a fooking BOMB for what they are.. So i've started building my own but only out of wood for now then once it's tried and tested i've got the sizes so i'll be able to weld some box section to the same spec job done...
Also gonna need to sort a floor mount for the rear seat belts for the kids..
Gonna start ordering some pipes so i can start building my custom S/S twin exit straight through exhaust..

how are you going to wled the stainless?..

did you know you buy just the hindges for the r/roll bed ?

i do love this bus, ive decided june 2009 is when im getting my t4, cannot wait, will be worth every day of the shitty escort. just gotta work out how to get the money together now, lol

What for a T4???? You need to make a frame up and use piano style hinges dude.. Or do it my way and don't use any hinges at all..

What i do is measure everything first, then cut the stainless pipe to the correct lenght with a grinder and saftey goggles, plug the mig in to the socket, turn on the gas set the power levels correctly clamp he eath on and whack my auto darkening welding mask on, then tac it together with the mig, then you trail fit it and if it fits ok take it back off and mig the fucker up job done... If you want a nice smooth finish you can then grind the welds down then us a flap disk to get it pretty smooth then a DA with finer disks and then wet and dry it to get it super smooth..
