T4 @ the beach

Sod it here goes..

Panel bonding removed and corner holes drilled.. Inside..





And the outside






And now i play dot to dot..
Side panels cut out.






And filed, shaped and straightened..





She's now ready for for the glass to bonded in..

All bonded in just need to tint them to match the rest..







While moving some stuff about in the unit i found some crap quality 60mm stainless tube it was a bit short for side bars so i welded some bit's on to the right length..






Started to shape one end then offered it up to the van to see how it looks.

Mate she looks ace much better with windows

looks sweet

What comes as a real suprise, is that you stopped at just 2!!!!!!

Nearly finished one of the side steps now.. All ends now fab'd and welded..







And the ends ground and sanded back..

Its good to see athread by you mate as we havnt done full on restos on our bugs or buses for ages

N/S side bar is finished.. Well just need to make the mounts now..



O/S bar sat ready for some loving..



Ends cut ready for some bending, welding and grinding..



And 2 finished stainless steel side bars..
Put in about 4 hours work in to them.. Just need to knock up some mounts then jobs a good'un

Top work............will look good. What finish are they going to have?

They're just gonna be chucked on as they are for now 'half hearted'. But when i take her off the road over the winter for paint and interior i'll polish them up properly..

They're gonna be finished and fitted tonight buddy so he'll have no chance and they're not come of till she comes off the road then i'll finish them properly and polish them myself cos i'm selfish like that...
You got a lot to learn MR spice, if i think i can do it myself then i'll do it even if a mate could do it in half the time and get a load better finish.. See i'm proper selfish..
