| Took the car out the unit on tuesday night, to sort a couple of thinks out.
1 ) adjust the new steering box, as now starting to bed in. 2) straighten out the steering wheel. 3) get some castor shims as the steering does not straighten out very well. 4) clean underneath. 5) raise the rear slightly, as axle tubes are hitting the heat exchangers and arms are hitting the rear shock horns.
When it was jacked up i found a rear hub was leaking oil, so now new rear shoes again and hub seal kit. which is a bit of a pisser tbh.
next re-paint the passenger door, and that should be pretty much it.
also got a new tank sender coming as found the rubber seal was split when i filled up to go to volksworld.

not really levalled up the front a bit tonight, front panel less than 3" off the floor. just got to level the rear side to side, about 14mm higher on l/h/r. so got to play with the torsion bars. | |

| thought i might up date a bit. Been to a few shows over the summer picked up top 10 custom aircooled at vw action. Best car at Big sunday at croyde. Best pre 67 aircooled custom at Bristol volksfest also broke down twice, 1st fuel pump burnt out 2nd coil came away from fan housing on the m32 in bristol on the way to action. all sorted at the moment now, i put it down to teething problems. andy | |
