| Haha, yeah I tend to 'half read' things at best, usually have to do it on the sly whilst at work. | |

| Bought a Mk1 Golf GTI cheap for parts, so that was handy... 3 White Mk1's on my driveway! None are road legal... So out the GTI i saved the seats (bit mouldy but will clean up nicely) and the carpet Got an Antiroll bar for the front with new bushes, etc Fitted... Also ordered some new Camber Adjusting Bolts for the front struts from VW dealer, when they arrive i will lower the front a bit more, fit the bolts, adjust the Camber, and fit my new Top strut mounts. That'll be the Suspension totally finished then! | |

| no worries mate, i thought it was a bit of crap nite aswell.. i was sober! Yeah im glad the way my Caddy is coming along, all be it a bit slow progress! As for the engine it would be awesome if i had the same BHP as my old Mk2 Golf, but im not really after speed tbh, this ones gonna be more of a cruiser. Go slow so everyone can see you! Ofcourse im affraid im gonna have to have the chav valve chuffing away from the turbo when im cruising..... proper Turbo stylee! | |

| ok, thought i'd better update this as i havent been on here for months!! Caddy is on the road and running lovely, i was going to fit a Turbo'd 1.8 Gti engine but when i examined the head it was cracked so i just shoved a 1.6 GTD engine in instead. Mods so far to engine - - 1.6 Diesel block and head - Garratt T3 Escort RS Turbo - 1.9 TDI pump - Oil cooler and sandwich plate - Samco hoses to turbo - Airfilter - custom made down pipe and exhaust with 1 silencer (3inch bore thu out) - Boost raised to 15 psi - fuel turned up to match Mods to do in future - - Intercooler!!!!! - More boost - bigger injectors - new cam | |

| hey im really not sure mate, i love the caddy so much and theres still so much more i wanna do to it but im just getting bored of it! A guy gave me his number at Volksfest and said he would offer me £3000 for it if i was to sell it but im not sure how much its worth tbh. Ive seen a few restored caddy's make that kinda money and a few mint ex-show winners go for anything up2 £7000. Even the shi*ters seem to be over a grand!!! I really cant make up my mind what i want to do with it...... | |

| Also, i put the Caddy on the Rollers the other week after taking it on the track, she made 132bhp @ flywheel (thats roughly 116bhp @ wheels) - just to put that into perspective - thats 17 bhp more than a 1.8 GTI. On the day the turbo was peaking to 18 psi, but then backing off to 15 psi. I think its because the turbo isnt getting enough cold air.... so im saving now for an even bigger Intercooler. Merc vans fit apparantly and are fecking HUGE!! * AT LEAST 150 BHP IS THE AIM FROM THE DERV LUMP * | |
