She's fitted with a Mk4 Golf 1.8 20v Turbo AGU engine, O2a Gearbox and VR6 heavy duty Clutch. Engine mods are KO3s Turbocharger upgrade, Large Front mount intercooler, cutsom Pipe work, Decat, Stainless Exhaust, and Induction Kit. Nothing majorly over the top but knocking on for 180- 200bhp i would imagine. I got it from one of my best friends who had built it, but had loads of running problems. So he spent more time working on it than driving it (hence the wiring a mess, etc) and he had lost interest. As i got it The Battery had been moved to the boot, but mounted Ghetto stlye in the Wheel well, so i mounted a Battery box temperarily to make it look neater Also started to rip the engine bay apart to tidy wiring, brake lines, and pipes up. The Master Cylinder had also burst and dumped fluid into the servo, so i removed that too to clean it properly and replace Cylinder Thats about as far as i have got so far, but i will keep you all updated.

| Cheers guys. Yeah it should be a right laugh when she on the road. Need to lower it a bit and fit some uber wide banded steelies. Shouldnt take too much to get it MOT'd then I can tidy it up and tinker once its roadworthy

| I thought it looked great just as a standardish nice clean 4 door.
Then you just have to spoil us by opening the bonnet, that's just not fair Si.
Cracking car, keep the updates coming, they are always interesting to read. You always make the fault finding sound so simple, wish it was that easy.

| How the bay currently looks.... Doesnt look like ive done much, until you see the pics of how the bay was when i got it. I want to do away with the Blue Samco hoses as it doesnt suit the theme of the car at all. Will be using them as a template to build hard pipes (aluminium). Should give it a much classier look, and more OEM. Also the suspension was set so hard that it was a bit of a handful, would bump steer wverywhere. So i softened the shocks up. Drives a lot nicer now. #mustbemegettingold | |

| Decided to remake the Intercooler pipework as i didnt like the Blue Silicone hoses. Still not 100% hapy with it so may re-do it again at some point. ALso made a start on removing as much of the over complex breather system pipework. | |

| The Exhaust Tailpipe had been niggling at me for a while so i had to do something about it. I hated the way it sat. So i re-welded the hangers to lift it up, fitted new rubbers and cut the end of the pipe off. Before After I drove the car to my dads place which gave me a good chance to see how she went. 1st and 2nd gear is quite frantic, but after that i was a bit disapointed. The Fuel pump (from a Scirroco) started making some horrible noises so i will be replacing that to see if that makes any difference to power. Pic of how she currently looks | |

any suspension mods to help it stay on the road? Its got a set of fully adjustable Koni Coilovers (set a little lower than standard), Uprated Anti-roll bars, and strut braces. The geometery has been setup by Grant Motorsport and a nice ammount of camber on front. Also ive got another set of 15" Wheels so i can get my track tyres fitted to them. So just swap the wheels over for road use / track use. Plan is to get her on track at Combe on 27th April.
