12 hours of swearing, crap in my eyes and 2 changes of pants(got soaked through!) later and the engine's still not in! Harv, we'll take it! Ok, we managed to get the motor bolted up! Spent all day tryin to get it in the last 20mm! in the end I just pulled it in by tightening the bolts! But it was very tight to turn with a big wrench on the pully (tighter than when it was on the bench!), so we dropped it back out again to have a look! As it was all the way in the clutch has gotta be lined up ok!.... Right? Checked the clearanging job, and all seems pretty good! Could take a bit more off by the starter, but I'm just being picky! We'll just shove it back in, and if the starter'll turn it over, job done!

| The first time i done a 6v to 12v was on the Crewy and i had a old flywheel and clutch lying around so i used that rather then putting the engine in and out but i found you do have to take off more then you think. Bloody crap job, in the rain as well with dripping pants | |

Sorry guys, Emo isnt gonna make the Friday meet. Theres far too much still to do and at the rate things get done on this car I'd be impressed if we get the motor running by the end of next week. Jeez, this car is taking forever.

| No wait, you're kidding? Sid isnt updating the resto thread, is he?Yep, time to get the winey, miserable little car on the road. He sure has lived up to his name so far! I've got the engine out of the '03, so thats one less thing to worry about. It's a fairly full to-do list: Fit Engine. Check all electrics (all worked fine at one stage, but its been 6 months). Welding (drivers side sills, plate up spare wheel well). Fit brake master cylinder. Bleed brakes. Fit seat belts. Hide any rust that Mr MOT man might not like.
Ok, to some of the 'big guns' in the club thats not much of a list, Someone like Rich could have that done before breakfast. We're talking about me though, fitting the seat belts should have me busy for the next few weeks! Must stay focused...
