| Right, one job done. Still got the same problem we had before though - do one job and that makes two more. Fit Engine. Check all electrics (all worked fine at one stage, but its been 6 months). Welding (drivers side sills, plate up spare wheel well).
Fit brake master cylinder. Buy & fit Brake light switch we broke fitting the master cylinder. Buy & fit fuel pipe we broke fitting the master cylinder. Bleed brakes. Fit seat belts. Hide any rust that Mr MOT man might not like. Wonder how long the list will get before the end. Roll on the weekend & fitting the engine.... | |

Hmmm that may take a lot of 'smoke and mirrors' |

| Okay, so the weekend came and went, instead of getting anywhere the to-do list has just got longer. Thought with a new master cylinder bleeding the brakes would be a peice of doddle. Sadly not After an hour of pumping couldnt get anything at the rear, so thought i'd have a go on the shortest line. Undo the bleed nipple and it leaks from behind. Took apart the hub and everything in there is a complete mess. It's like someone just threw in all the bits and hoped it would work. If i want the thing working i'm going to have to renew it all - drums, shoes, shoe fittings, cylinder and bearings. Might as well do the front brake pipes too. At least then i know it'll all be done. | |

| This resto thread took some finding.... About time it was updated. I've got Emo back in my garage, and first thing on the list... Slam the fucker! 1 super slammed, no body mods, 6" narrowed beam coming up! First thing was to modify the sway aways to allow for more adjustment. Chop the centre of the beam out. Weld in the adjusters. Move the beam mounts back to where they should be And on with some custom end plates. Mocked up in the car. Bit tight, but everything just fits. | |

| Cheers guys... I can't wait to get into my own project. Sid wasn't too keen to go mad with slamming it. The conversation went something like: Dirtbox: "6" narrowed and touching the floor?????" Sid: I don't know. I don't want to go too mad and not be able to drive it." Dirtbox: Don't be gay, that's what you're having!!!" | |
