T25 Caravelle to Camper

My latest project is well underway so I'll just get a load of pics up to get you up to speed........might take a while, bear with me!!!

About Bloody Time!!

Westfalia roof found on e-bay with all the brackets etc, cut hole in roof with a 1mm cutting disc in my angle grinder and replaced the orginal lift bar with gas struts from O'connors campers.......just pop the catch and these take the roof straight up.

That looks very good, will be a very nice camper when its done.

If you need some advice, i would contact sonic 23 on here, he has carried out pretty much the same conversion to his t25 synchro caravelle.

I'm looking for a local trimmer at the moment to do my cab seats and door panels if anyone knows of anyone. I've contacted Pritchards in Claverham and Fry & sons in Fishponds (Bristol) need to take a seat to show them to get a quote.
I did hear there might be someone in Clevedon but I can't find any details?

believe me .....i've tried,he only does scoot seats ......he aint interested in car stuff

true ,but i had a long conversation with him , and its just not worth his while ....he can earn good bucks doing the scoot stuff ,and its all the same ,give him one offs and he would loose money .......or you would lol

Found a guy in Cardiff in the end for seat trimming.......Springers Upholstery. He made a nice job of the seats and trim panels, not a bad price either.

i think with that exhaust you need a smaller/shorter oil filter, i think it was one from a polo project parsons used.

Griff you were right......did need the shorter oil filter. Tailpipe clashed with the rear valance too so had to bend it a bit to clear.
Quick update.....been building the interior units for the van, nearly finished now. I used a company called Avon Plywood in Keynsham who cut all the wood to size which is Real Ash veneer and they put a 3mm edging on everything so all I had to do was screw it all together with various metal corner brackets & clamp blocks. I made that sounds like a 5 minute job, but it took a little bit longer than that.
