Not a full on resto but progress with the old dog Laughing

As I got her riding high with a blown head gasket

She needs some work but the first thing was to get her to my mates workshop and get the headgasket sorted

Not cheap on parts but shes all sorted now and sounds great Smile
Still gotta sort the exhaust out though Embarassed

The drive home from the workshop was a bit of and eyeopener, she's a proper boat in the corners Shocked might be something o do with the 4x4 ride height

Yesterday she got hit with the stick, big thanks to Chopperman for the springs Wink She's now sitting closer to the deck

Well so much fort this not being a proper resto thread, I attacked it with my smallest tapping stick and was left with this

O/S front sill

So out came the grinder Twisted Evil

Plated the whole in the inner sill the made up a repair section for the outer and grafted it in and gave it a blast of zinc primer, need to finish dressing the welds back but ran out of time

Been busy on the old shitter aswell Razz

Finished the welding on the sill

Found a bit more on the arch lip and a hole in the inner arch

Got the panel shop to colour match the paint as the previous owner had no idea what colour it had been painted Rolling Eyes
turns out to be Ford Pacific Blue, so got a rattle can and blew it in quickly, its not pretty on the patches on the rear quarter but it's not screaming stop me now Wink

coolio i should be starting on "THE GIT" in December never done anything like this before but im not scarred (unlike the rag which was to much for my first project)and gotta start somewhere i spose....make sure you take loads of pics of the work bounce
