| Just spent a week fitting loads of new engine parts and felt like showing them off! It was my frist time taking the engine out, which I quite enjoyed, my engine was all original before and now its like this..... it goes alot better, i'm quite pleased with it, sounds lush with my new tailpipes! just fitted a new stock exhaust, and new heat exchanger along with everything you can see in the pics |

| I was told by someone who used to build race engines that the stock style manifolds where crap cos there so long the fuel starts to evapourate hence twin carbs being 50 time better on fuel and make for a better running engine. | |

| and I have been told that the longer the inlet manifold the less atomisation of fuel and air mixture.......therefore less bang for your buck..............COR!!!.....we should write a book ....maybe not,we'll only get taken to court | |

| Surely shorter manifolds with twin carbs are the best way to go?? | |

| also on the stock manifold the mixture draw speed drops to nothing over such a long route to the cylinders! | |

| That what i think i was trying to say, it the reason why on the single carb manafold there is the pipe for the exhaurst to prevent icing up. But as the engine come on temp you will still be heating the oncoming fuel, not good as you wont the fuel to be as cool as possible; even lower then air temp if possible to get the best heat trasfer and best thermal efficiency. | |

| yer isn't it - the cooler the air and fuel mixture is, the more dense it is, therefore more power?? |

| but then it come down the the stoichiometric ratio which ideal needs to be 14.7:1. As to much fuel wont create the flame front in the cyilinder or worse wont burn at all. it all aboutheat tranfer the cooler it come in the less energy is lost as heat and that energy can be used to swinging the conrod round with the extra energy avalible. | |
