Cheers, It started out as a 1300cc engine but I've changed the pistons and barrells etc to 1600cc, apart from that its stock. I've added a pair of weber 34ICT carbs & 009 dizzy, but as yet have not given it a good blast. |

| That's the one! That was a few years ago you last saw it. Got any pictures of yours? I hear you have similar plans for it? |

| sorry ....the only pics I have of it were taken on a mates mobile phone when i went to see it (he printed a few poor quailty ones off for me) as i forgot to take my camera with me.........we drove it round for a while rat look style......then i stripped it ,fitted a GT gearbox and poly mounts and it is at the moment at the spray shop getting a coat of dark/medium silver paint...then its back home to have a 1641 motor fitted and the interior/wiring loom ,doorseals ect.....so it will be a while yet ....yours turned out a treat tho' ...you must be well pleased.....if you finish it in time we could meet up at the cruise for a chat maybe?..........by the way...mine is from south africa too | |

That'll be good. I've got a carpet on order and am hoping to get that this week so I can fit it on the weekend. Will need to fit door cards, seats, dash pad and front windscreen then I'm ready for the MOT. 5 weeks until the cruise so should be achievable. Hopefully see you then. Yours looks solid enough, was any welding needed prior to spraying? Where are you having it done? Nice wheels!!! Cheers |

| I welded in a tiny repair to the battery tray and to one of the cills, other than that I de-trimmed it and welded in the door mirror holes ready for a pair of swan neck mirrors on the wings ,I'll be in my splitty on the cruise so easily spotted hopefully see you there ,not much left then, should all be done in time for the cruise......paint is being done by "dave the paint" ...one of harvey's mates who paints harley davidsons for him at work (harv works for riders of bridgwater).....who painted yours?...looks great from the photo's ...are you pleased with the results? | |
