| I was gonna go for the bullet proof grade lexan... But that was out of my budget and probably a bit overkill! | |

| Nice work on the window fitting dude......Lexan is like polycarbonate but doesnt scratch/haze go yellow like it so ideal for cut down bug windows. Bug rear window is a nightmare shape cos it has a double compound curve in it (hence why flat lexan didnt wanna go in!) The cars lookin real cool bud, be nice to see it again on the road | |

| With the headliner lookin pretty good, I thought the floor really let the car down. So I purchased some new beige carpet(halfway through cutting templates atm).... But then thought the padals, handbreak etc could do with a refurb too, so they got a coat of 2K panama beige. I've also cut a couple of inches off the gearleaver and fitted a new knob! .... I think I might add seats and doorcards to my "to do" list too. | |

| Cheers dude. Rach had it shipped over from the US a couple of years ago as there weren't any suppliers over here that did that kinda thing at the time. She can't rember the name of the supplier, but I'll see if I can find it for you. | |

| I've been workin on a new steering wheel, couple of hours every other night, for the past month. It still needs the rim painting before fitting (hopefully it'll be on the car by the weekend), but I couldn't resist a few pics now. Started by rolling the rim from rebar (the stuff they use to re-enforce concrete) Then welded and cleaned it up The centre was made from stainless steel Made a horn push too Then gave it a polish and it's now ready for the rim to get a lick of paint. | |
