Day one has gone pretty much to plan, managed to get down the work shop by 11.30, got a bit distracted by trying to find bacon and egg sandwichs!!

This is how the car looked then....



Got to work stripping it down untill all we had was a bare rolling shell, everything was out incl. the loom engine etc...





Then started sanding down the body, while Dave pondered and thought out his plan of action....



Dave started on the welding and Spence came round to give us a hand rubbing down....



Called it quits bout 12.00ish, with 4 things left on the list that should have been done today, but we got further than we thought with the rubbing down. This is what we left down there this evening....

Wel, today was not a good day. Managed to get the roof all welded and the dash smoothed out. Most of the bolt on panels are preped ready for a final rub down, degrease and then paint.

The body still needs tonnes of filler before we can prime it tomorrow, so basically were about a day behind schedule. Not good. Called it quits early tonight (well bout 11ish), cos dave was just reaching a state of dispear, and nothing was getting done.

Hopefully aiming to get down to the workshop nice and early tomorrow and make up time. In theory if we get it all ready to shoot the silver base by about 5pm we should be able to do it. If not then it'll be bolted back together as it is. Fingers crossed!!

Steve's said he'll pick us up at 10.30 but were hoping to be up and out before then, (we'll give you a ring steve if we are gonna be early).

Sorry I haven't been able to come down guys, my knee has been so bad this weekend it has been unbelievable.
I went down to the classic car show on the lawns earlier today and only stayed there about 30mins as it was all I could do to flaming walk!
Dave, when you have finished the 66 any chance you could knock up a new lower LH Femur for me is there??

The sanding was a pretty good workout, but to be fair the body was looking damn near spot on, when I left the primer was just starting to go on so hopefully there will be some pictures from Dave & Rach soon.
