72 Hi Boy

Thanks guys... I know, it's a bit over due.


The hair pins will mount to the floor pan (with another bracket and rose joint), just at the bottom of the A post. This is then the pivot point for the whole axel assembly. The leaf spring is then mounted to the frame head with another bracket.
This pic may help make it a bit clearer... Or I could pull my finger out and get it mounted.

Andy, I think you're right. I'll have to take a few leaves out to get a nice ride, as I suspect it'll be too harsh as it is. Bit of trial and error setting it up once it's rolling.

Since Bringing Rach along to a meet, she's done a complete U-turn and wants the car ready for show season.
First thing was to set the ride height of the front end and fabricate the spring mount. So I chopped off the front clip then sat the frame head on a piece of 2x4 and mocked up the front axel. Happy with the height I measured up and have started fabricating the spring mount. (sorry, no pics yet )

As I'm not gonna get enough time to paint and polish it properly, it's getting a temporary finish of red oxide for this season. Spent this evening throwing some on the 'pan.
