cheers bud xxx DEFO The van is all sorted now on the road and I'm loving it. There is still loads of work to do but at least I can start getting some enjoyment out of it after all the hard work I have put in! |

It's dropped 60mm but has nothing inside yet so more wieght and bigger wheels are needed. I don't want to lower it any more beacause more than 60mm mucks up the handling. mines 60mm to on 16's thats low enough and still comfy, when me and the missis get a bug then its on the floor | |

| The bottom end of the WBX has started rattling so it's a quick engine conversion before plymouth volks fest. I was always planning an engine change so already had a diesel bellhousing, mounts and stuff. A mate was breaking a mk3 gti 2.0l 8v gti with a AGG that was willing to swap for a low mileage 1.6 td I had. I wanted more power but with a lack of funds and time this seemed the way to go. 37 extra bhp over the 1.9 DG and better fuel economy doesn't seem a bad trade so here we go. WBX out. Diesel bellhousing in. AGG coming out. |

| Things are going a lot slower than I hoped. Still waiting for some parts to turn up so I can't put the engine in. The block was the rustiest I've ever seen so that got a good clean up and a paint. The cambelt has been done (thanks haynes for leaving out the AGG in your book of lies) and we put in a new crank end seal. The diesel sump is on with a new gasket. I am using an AGG that had air con. This has a bigger bracket for the alternator and pump. As such the alternator would end up sat out the engine lid. To solve this we are using the jx alternator bracket and crank pully. The diesel water pump pully does not line up as the pump is a little different. It looks like a mk2 golf gti 8v (without PAS) pully will fit so one is on order. |

| The exhaust is a little louder than I hoped but it does sound good . This doesn't do it any justice you have to hear it for real.
