T3 panel van the story so far.

I do not have a photo of the van when I first got it but here are a few pics of the work that has been done.

The wings were in a bad way so they were cut out.















We then found some more bits that needed sorting.












Then in went the new panels and plates.

















We then got the filler out to try and make the panels as straight as possible. (not so easy on a 25 year old builders van)







Now it is starting to take shape.

I have definately warmed to T25's and regret selling on my double cab. The profit was just too much to resist though!!

I agree scoops, i was a hater of the t3 to be honest.

But last year at bristol i saw blackfairykittens and was hooked, then i sold the bug and bought my t3 panel and still dont want to sell wich is rare for me lol

It is going to be a vw colour that is very close to audi nimbus grey.

I hope so it goes in for spraying on the 6th I get it back on the 8th and the mots on the 17th so I have my work cut out!

First try of the electric windows using volvo 740 window motors and t25 window mechanism.

Im gonna have to have ago at some electric windows my self i reckon, i could do it to a ford so cant be that difficult.............can it lol

The van went to the spray shop yesterday, I get it back on wednesday.

The mot is on the 17th so lots to do!

Dude when you get it back be fussy.
I sent mine there and although it didn't cost me much the result isn't all that, I even asked them to sort out the seams and a year later I am having to do them myself as they didn't touch them. just wish I made a fuss back then. Hay ho.
Saying that I have seen some of the work they have done and It's fantastic and Richards seems a nice chap, check out the red and white split that is often seen round town in the summer. they also do a lot for VWshack.

They sprayed my toyota supra and did a great job. If there is anything wrong with the finish it will be my fault as I did all the prep work.

Who is spraying it dude?

I picked the van up yesterday. It was painted by J&W. I did all the prep work (not very well) and they just sprayed it (could be better) but it looks 100% better. Here are a few pics.
