Subject: front quarter panel repair?? Mon Dec 18, 2006 3:59 pm
Does anyone know or have any photo's of repacing the whole quarter panel.....the bit I am trying to work out ,is how to get it out of the rolled edge on the 'a' post without damaging the rolled edge beyond repair
any help at all much appreciated

When I did mine I just carefully pryed it back with a screw driver then drilled out the spot welds!
Don't try and pull a small section to 90 degrees! work your way up and down really slowly pulling it out only a few degrees at a time! And when you dress it back, work your way up and down very slowly again! Take enough time and care over it and it'll be fine!

I got the haynes restoration manual some where. It does have a few useful pointers in there on replacing panels. If you wanna borrow it Steve, you're more than welcome mate!

o.k I'll try that . are the spot welds in that edge ,or is the edge just rolled over (can't see any)
