| What are the wings like on your 66 Nomates? I might be interested in them, along with the bonnet. | |

| Right, the action continues and the number of scabs I have on my hands has grown... I spent all today removing all the other panels, front wings, running boards, back valance and labelling up the lights... I got the engine running ok but I don’t trust the carb as it cuts out if you go from revving it to idling... needs a good clean and new diaphragms. The electrics all seem ok accept its doing the classic trick of leaving the generator light on when its running, not too worried about that at the moment as its probably just a lose connection... I had every intention of welding the clutch arm that broke off but the welder I borrowed was a bit of a kids toy and was not nearly powerful enough to fuse the metal. Will have to get a mobile welder man in I think unless anybody knows of someone in the Clevedon area? Which brings me to my final point... I wish I had a time machine so I could go back in time and slap whoever put the clutch arm in the gearbox... He missed out a retaining washer that goes behind the surclip and stops the whole thing from sliding to the left, if he had put it in there would be no problem and the thing would still be running sweet now... Bloody amateurs! |

| I love this... Sitting drinking beer and watching family guy in London kicks ass even more when you have someone slaving away on a car you are meant to be working on! Looking good man... get the engine, steering column and electrics in and we can take it for a spin! |

| Right the day has come and it was done. Mark up how much is coming out. 5inch at the centre post so therefore 9inch at the rear window!! One cab and one roof rest of the pillers choped out Enter the MAN!!! Checking it for size End of the day, we had problems with the welder and so had to give up for the day. Just wont to say a massive thanks to dave, you are the man!!! | |

| As Rach just pointed out, I just don't look good in pictures! No worries guys, it was good fun today, and a bit more of a relaxed pace than when I did mine! Steve, did you manage to get any tips today or should I see if I can sort some out? | |

| Well bit of a late start to the morning as me and steve got pissed up on a hill in yatton! But i was up fairly early, 7.30! as i could sleep think about how shit some of the bodywork on the car is and after spending all this time on the roof it would be a shame not to have the boby a little tidier! Anyway Start choping parts of the other roof to fit to the car Now check out the size of th window and the smile on steves face! Thats what 9 inchs of windscreen looks like! Dave and steve working the magic Then we chopped out the top of the roof of the other car And laied it on the new roof The size of the now USELESS rear window All tacked up and ready for us to finish!
