Yeah it does make sense in one but on the other hand the pan will probably get beat about on speed humps and kerbs ect..
It's all painted in stone chip at the mo so should be pretty safe, but it's just not how i wanted the car i was gonna build for her... The pan was gonna be 2k gloss blacked.. We'll see what happens and how i feel..

It's seems rude not to do something to it as i'll be changing the beam and may be the gearbox so a ring of pan bolts and it's ready.. confused confused

Then while i'm at it there's plenty of other bits and bobs that i could as well...

Cheers Dave. It's not a bad bug really.

We're still in two minds weather to split it from the pan and get the pan blasted and powder coated before it hit's the road.. Idea

Looks like a nice solid bug for the money Cool

If it were me I'd steer clear of powder coating a pan. The pan flexing can lead to minute cracks in the coating letting moisture in. 2K gloss paint sounds good Cool

Being completely honest I would powdercoat the pan and then gloss over that!!
But that's why I don't want to start stripping the cab down!! lol!

Go with 2K black mate! It's almost as bullet proof as powder and has much more elasticity. afro

.... It'd probably only take you an afternoon too! Wink

Cheers guy thats what i was thinking would be easier/better.... I've got to buy a load of 2k black for the wheels and a couple other bits and bobs so may as well get a bit extra for the pan and do it all in one hit.... afro
