Spent a couple of hours on it on Saturday took the doors off, finished two little repairs to the inner front, then lined up the new front panel, cut the A-pillars, then checked measured, measured measured and measured some more, then drilled the holes along the top lip and spotted it in place and kept measuring it all the time, then welded the front panel to the A-pillars, then folded both side lips round the A-pillar top to bottom and spot welded them, then refitted the doors, new windscreen and new rubber all back together





Just need to drill the holes around the fresh air vent and bottom lip the spot it all in place..

Then i forgot the pic clicker and got carried away and whacked it all back together..





All fitted and it even opens loads better then it did

So if i can be arsed the front beam WILL come out tomorrow be can't welded the adjusters in cos i'm now fresh out of gas

Well it's a nice cold sunday morning and i'm getting the beam out so this ugly bugger can get closer to the ground..

How afew probs getting the beam so it took a while hour and 20 mins start to finish but i got there in the end..





There she is just a shame i have run out of gas so i can't get the adjusters in . Thats the job for monday night..

Cheers dude in all honsety i'm gutted at how long it's taking me to do it but i'm not up for messing around with it in the evenings after work, so i'm only doing a couple of hours a day on the weekend and i get a fair bit done in the time i spend on it..
If it was the summer i could of knocked it out in a couple of days easy but no he had to have it done NOW when it's bloody windy and cold

He should have it back on the weekend

Wow, thanks for taking all these pics (and texting them) Rich, once the vans totally finished (summer 2007 hopefully) i'm gona yank all the pics off and create an all in one resto thread. Cannot believe how quickly you work, getting mighty excited about it now!! chuffing pussy, haha, more like fed up of beam grinding on speed bumps, haha.

..... also, I might add..... check out my gorgeous undersealing, probably about 12 hours worth of work went into that.... only just got it off my sin too.

did you notice the chain wrapped round the beam on the floor in the last couple of pics..................................................................................

Like i said had a few probs getting the beam out

Mind you 3" is better than it was, looking good though Rich, I had better keep you in mind in the future if you work that quick
