| MOT time this morning. His first comments were 'wheres the number plate'... woops (I gets the velcro out and stick it on), then it was 'those rear seats are forward facing, is it properly secured'... urm yep, its a bed not a seat! (quickly pulls it out and throws a blanket over it!), hahah | |

Good man, you'll be so proud o it when its done. I must admiot, even htough its cost me an arm and a leg, and has taken up almost all my time, I am so proud of the final work. I would have liked to have done the welding, so I could say 'yeah I did the whole thing', but then again, at least I got to spend more time on the body. I reckon its been not far off 50 hours on the paint/prep/ prime etc etc, plus a further 10 in the booth. What's your plans for it dude? i'm always happy to help, i love prepping. | |

| FAIL FAIL FAIL After being wound up by my work mates all day, I wondered over to find out how it had done. The tester made that noise of sucking air in through his teeth, which sent my heart plummitting, then produced a fail sheet: 1. Left hand headlight beam adjustment 2. right hand headlight beam adjustment 3. Excessive steering play 4. Hole on the front axle (about the size of a 5p- never saw it before!) 5. Handbrake needs adjusting So all in all a SUCCESS! I got away with the tyres, got away with the washer jets (I was outside Morrissons at 8am super gluing them on). He reckons it'll be about £100 and 4 hours work tommorrow morning to get it passed, plus its a free re-test which is cushty. He did query the beam adjusters (as Rich had cut the bump stops off), but he phoned the ministry and they said its fine (but I got it added to an advisory list). However, he said whover had done it had done it properly, so well done Rich. He also commented on how solid it was and the welding done underneath, so well done Cliff too. All in I'm looking at a £200 MOT- very happy with that. | |

| ..... the money has no almost dried up for the van now. I managed to negotiate with the artist at work, so she's going to paint and fill in the 'moon equipped' along the sides, but not the doors, nor the moon eyes, but she'll do both sides for £100. I cant wait til next month when Rich is lowering the back end a click, then it's time to enjoy it for the summer. The interior will have to wait until next winter or until I can throw some more money at it, but hey ho, at least it'll be how I want it | |

| Cheers Al. I am very proud of it, there are areas I wish I had spent more time on, namely the roof, but overall it is a big improvement. | |
