| Well we've finally got back on with my car, its been a while but had stuff on our minds. Any who, Daves now fitted the fuel pipe, fitted one running board, and we have just got it fired up. Yay!! Had to use 2 batterys and it will on fire with the carb off the 1200 on it, and doesn't tick over very well, but its there!! All thats left now is to bleed the brakes and change the shoes, wire up the front lights and fit my pretty indictors which go on the top of the wings, tiny bit of MOT welding, and just some general tinkering! Then its MOT on Monday, tax on tuesday, jamboree on friday!! | |

| Staying true to my word I have to jump to the defense of the mighty Pony! You may mock, but it came to the rescue of me last Wednesday and towed the cab home!! Some may think it's an Ass but to me it is a thoroughbred!! | |

| Had a good weekend on it. Finished bolting on some of the last few bits: running boards, door handle, mirrors, seatbelts, indicators etc. Overhauled the front breaks, bled em up. Set the rockers, timing and got the engine running better! Took it for a quick spin and all was good, so I picked Rach up from work in it today..... She was soooooo chuffed! Driving any dub will get you a few looks. But a pink un really gets the ladies attention!(..... I did feel a bit of a sissy! ) The worst part was a ladie driving a pink micra, flashing and waving at me! | |

| Well bit of an adventrous drive home. Leaving work heard a scrapping sound from the engine, which Dave assured me was because 2 of the clutch bolts were loose. Got as far as the big round about by Asda and couldn't get a gear, so pulled to the edge of the roundabout where it stalled, and the engine would turn over. Just a funny noise he hadn't heard before. Got out and looked in the engine bay to find the flywheel had completely detached from the engine!! So looks like we will need a new flywheel, new crankshaft. Big damage to the flywheel and possibly the bell housing. Now not meaning to say i told you so but : - leahcar52 wrote:

Okay so not quite seized but still broke! Looks like it will be Jambo in the Pony! | |

| The pony is proving to be a real asset!!! Thanks for the offers guys, we may take you up on it! I'm really gutted, as that engine was running really strong. Standing burnouts, side ways action etc. Was loads of fun! If I get time tomorrow, I'll whip it out and see how much damage was done. | |
